Leão to Wear Portugal's No. 7 After Ronaldo's Sudden Camp Departure

Rafael Leão is set to wear Portugal's number 7 jersey in the national team's upcoming Nations League match against Denmark, according to data published on the UEFA website and reported by Sky News Arabia.

The assignment comes a day after Cristiano Ronaldo's sudden departure from the Portugal squad's camp, which left him absent from the roster for the Denmark fixture.

Ronaldo has worn the number 7 for Portugal for the majority of his international career, making its reassignment to Leão a notable marker of the team's transition in his absence.

The circumstances surrounding Ronaldo's abrupt exit from camp were not detailed in the available report, leaving open questions about whether the absence reflects a short-term or longer-term change in his national team status.

Leão, who was already known to be a strong candidate to inherit the shirt, will now carry the number into a competitive Nations League fixture, drawing added attention to the match against Denmark.
