EGazette is a multi-language news service operated by UMECOR, which is the controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us about privacy through our contact page.

This policy applies to the EGazette website and the services offered through it, such as accounts, the newsletter, comments and donations.

Information you give us. When you create an account we collect your email address and the password you set; if you subscribe to the newsletter we collect your email, chosen language and frequency; if you comment we collect what you write and the name shown; if you donate we collect the details needed to process it; and if you contact us we collect your name, email and message.

Information we collect automatically. As with most websites, we collect limited technical data when you visit — such as your device and browser type, approximate location inferred from your IP address, pages viewed and referring links — through cookies and similar technologies, as described below.

Information from third parties. Our payment provider confirms whether a donation succeeded and issues a receipt; we do not receive or store your full card number.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to operate and secure the site, deliver the news and features you request, send the newsletter and breaking alerts you have opted into, display and moderate comments, process donations, respond to your enquiries, remember your language and region preferences, and understand and improve how the site is used.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
