1. Acceptance of these terms

2. The service

EGazette is a free, multi-language news service operated by UMECOR. It uses automated, AI-assisted systems to discover, write, rate, translate and distribute news assembled from publicly available sources, with human editorial oversight.

We may add, change, suspend or withdraw features, sections, languages or the whole service at any time, and we do not guarantee that the site or any particular content will always be available.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country of residence to create an account or make a donation, and where local law requires it, to have reached the minimum age for using an online service without parental consent.

If you create an account, you are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials confidential, and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use EGazette lawfully and not to misuse it. You must not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the site, its systems or its data, and you must not use automated means to scrape, harvest or copy content except as expressly permitted.

You must not use EGazette to break any law, infringe anyone's rights, distribute malware, or collect other users' personal data without consent. We may investigate and take appropriate action, including restricting access, where these terms are breached.

5. Comments and user content

Where EGazette lets you submit comments or other content, you are solely responsible for what you post. You must not post anything unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, obscene, misleading or infringing, and you must not impersonate others.

Comments may be reviewed by our automated moderation and by human editors before or after they appear, and we may edit, refuse or remove any content at our discretion. Moderation is not a guarantee, and we are not responsible for content submitted by users.

By submitting content you grant EGazette a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and distribute that content in connection with the service. You keep ownership of your content and confirm you have the right to grant this licence.

6. Intellectual property

The site, its original AI-generated articles, and the EGazette name, branding and design are owned by UMECOR or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may read and share links to our articles for personal, non-commercial use, but you may not otherwise copy, republish or exploit them without permission.

7. News content, accuracy and reliance

EGazette's content is assembled automatically and may contain errors, omissions or outdated information. It is provided for general information only and is not a definitive record of events. Always verify important information against the original sources we link to.

Nothing on EGazette is financial, investment, legal, tax, medical or other professional advice, and market information is not a recommendation to buy or sell any asset. You rely on the content at your own risk.

8. Donations

EGazette is free to use. You may choose to make a voluntary donation to support the service. Donations are processed by our third-party payment provider; EGazette does not receive or store your full card details.

Donations are voluntary contributions, not payment for goods or services, and are generally non-refundable except where required by law or stated at the time of the donation. If you believe a donation was made in error, contact us and we will review it in good faith.

9. Third-party links and services

The site links to and relies on third-party websites and services, including source publications and our payment and infrastructure providers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.

10. Disclaimers

EGazette is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UMECOR and its operators, staff and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use EGazette or its content, even if advised of the possibility. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UMECOR and its operators from any claims, losses or expenses arising out of your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site, or content you submit, to the extent permitted by law.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the site or your account, with or without notice, if you breach these terms or where we reasonably consider it necessary to protect the service or other users. You may stop using the site at any time, and provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The date shown above indicates when they were last revised, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Where a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to highlight it.

15. Governing law and contact

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which UMECOR is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules and subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
