Aramburu Trial: Prosecution Seeks 27 Years for Loïk Le Priol and 20 Years for Romain Bouvier

The public prosecutor requested 27 years in prison for Loïk Le Priol, prosecuted for murder as the author of the fatal shots. He also requested 20 years in prison for Romain Bouvier, prosecuted for attempted murder after having shot the first at the rugby player, wounding him twice.
The trial, which focused on the precise course of the firefighting that led to Aramburu's death, must still conclude with the defense's closing arguments before the court retires to deliberate.
Towards an expected verdict
The closing arguments delivered on Wednesday set a framework for the sentences incurred by the two defendants, without prejudging the final decision of the court. The verdict is now expected in the coming days.
The case had aroused strong emotion in 2022 due to the victim's notoriety in the rugby world.
