Pakistan's Railways Minister Says Government Working to Make Rawalpindi Greener
Hanif Abbasi said new parks and public spaces are part of efforts to build a more recreational city.
Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi said the government is focusing on transforming Rawalpindi into a greener and more recreational city by developing modern parks, playgrounds and other public facilities, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP).
Abbasi made the remarks while addressing the inauguration ceremonies of Allama Iqbal Park and Milad Park, saying safe, accessible and well-maintained public spaces were important, APP reported.
