A vessel was struck by what France 24 described as an "unidentified projectile" in the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, leaving two people with minor injuries, according to the French broadcaster.

The incident came hours after Iran's Revolutionary Guards threatened to use "new weapons" and strike "new targets" in the event of an American attack, France 24 reported.
