أقرت إدارة الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب بتسجيل ثماني محاولات انتحار بين أفراد من البحرية الأمريكية منذ بداية الانتشار الطويل لحاملة الطائرات "أبراهام لينكولن" في الشرق الأوسط، بحسب ما ذكرته فرانس 24.
وأوضحت الإدارة أنه لم تُسجَّل أي حالة انتحار على متن حاملة الطائرات نفسها خلال فترة انتشارها. وجاءت هذه المعطيات في رسالة وجهها وزير البحرية بالوكالة، كشف فيها عن تفاصيل بعض الحالات، وذلك ردًا على استفسار وجهته السيناتورة الديمقراطية كيرستن غيليبراند.
