Inspector General of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police, Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry, visited several duty points across the capital and met with officers deployed for the protection of citizens and the maintenance of law and order, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan.

During the visits, the IGP interacted with officers performing field duties and appreciated their efforts in carrying out security responsibilities across the city, the report said. Such visits are a routine part of senior police leadership's oversight of frontline officers, intended to assess conditions at duty points and reinforce standards for field operations.

The visits come as part of ongoing efforts by the ICT Police to maintain security and public order in the federal capital. Field duty points typically include locations such as major intersections, public buildings and areas requiring a visible police presence to deter crime and respond to incidents.

Engagement between senior police officials and rank-and-file officers on the ground is often highlighted by police departments as a way of maintaining morale and ensuring that leadership priorities are communicated directly to those responsible for day-to-day security operations.

The Associated Press of Pakistan reported the visit as part of its coverage of law enforcement activity in the capital.
