The minister for the sea and fisheries has clarified the terms of financial support promised to industry professionals, following the lifting of blockades at the port of Nice and a fuel depot in Hérault.
According to Le Monde, fishermen have taken blocking actions to protest fuel prices ahead of a planned meeting with the minister delegate responsible for fisheries and the sea.
Around a hundred Mediterranean fishermen had blocked an oil depot in Hérault to protest against rising fuel prices. They are threatening to escalate their action if their meeting with the fishing minister does not yield concrete results.
