Young Volunteers Race to Preserve Kurdish Cultural Heritage in Sulaymaniyah

Dozens of young people are working at a Kurdish heritage institute in Sulaymaniyah on an ambitious project to preserve thousands of traditional songs, books and documents, according to Deutsche Welle's Arabic service.

The outlet reported that the volunteers are archiving and digitizing the materials to prevent them from being lost, more than a century after such cultural expression faced restrictions.
