Yemen: Houthis called on by G7 to stop attacks on shipping

The Houthis, who control a large part of Yemen, were called on Monday evening by G7 foreign ministers to "immediately" end their military actions, threats and attacks targeting international shipping.

The statement was made on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings in New York, where several regional security issues, including Yemen, are on the agenda of discussions between heads of state and diplomats.

Strikes reported in Mokha

For its part, the Saba agency, close to the Houthi movement, reported on Tuesday strikes by the Saudi-led coalition on the port city of Mokha, on the Red Sea, reporting six deaths.
