The Liberal Democrats used their party conference to unveil a £2bn plan to cut fuel duty, part of a series of policy proposals intended to address concerns that not enough voters know what leader Ed Davey's party stands for, according to The Guardian.
The proposal would cut fuel duty by 10p a litre for a fixed three-month period, The Guardian reported. It came as polling showed that Liberal Democrat policies are less well known than those of Restore Britain, a party that launched in February and has one MP, Rupert Lowe, compared with the Liberal Democrats' 71.
