Tehran's Armenian Christian Community Marks St. George Commemoration

Members of Iran's Armenian Christian community gathered at Saint George Church in Tehran for a commemoration ceremony honoring St. George, accompanied by a Mass, according to IRNA.

The ceremony was held across three days, taking place on Thursday and Friday evenings and continuing into Saturday afternoon. It drew participation from representatives of Tehran's Armenian community as well as Armenian Christians from northern Iran.

Iran is home to one of the oldest Armenian Christian communities in the world, with churches and religious sites, including Saint George Church in Tehran, serving as important centers for religious and cultural life for the community.
