Sargodha deputy commissioner orders faster pace on city's mega projects

The deputy commissioner of Sargodha, Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry, has directed officials to accelerate work on the city's ongoing mega infrastructure projects after expressing dissatisfaction with the slow pace of construction.

The directive, issued on Monday, specifically addressed projects being carried out by the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), according to a spokesperson for the district administration. Chaudhry instructed officials to expedite the work while ensuring that quality standards are not compromised.

Inspection visit prompts the order

The directive followed a visit by the deputy commissioner to various parts of the city to inspect the status of ongoing development works. During the visit, Chaudhry reviewed progress on the projects and raised concerns about delays affecting their completion.

WASA projects typically cover water supply and sanitation infrastructure that serve residential and commercial areas of the city. Delays in such works can affect essential services for residents, making timely completion a priority for local authorities.
