Russian Drone Debris Hits Transport Facility, Store in Two Kyiv Districts

Drones crashed in two districts of Kyiv, striking a transport infrastructure facility and a store and damaging a non-residential building, Ukraine's Ukrinform news agency has reported.

According to the report, unmanned aerial vehicles were reported to have crashed onto the roof of a non-residential building, onto the premises of a transport infrastructure facility, and onto a store in the Ukrainian capital. The incidents come amid Russia's continuing air campaign against Ukrainian cities, which has regularly involved drone and missile strikes targeting infrastructure and populated areas since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022.

Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities have faced repeated waves of drone and missile attacks throughout the war, prompting Ukraine to build up layered air defences that regularly intercept a large share of incoming drones and missiles, while debris and, at times, direct hits still cause damage and casualties on the ground.
