Former French minister Rachida Dati was questioned for a second time on Monday, September 21, at her corruption trial, according to RFI.
Dati is being tried in correctional court on charges of corruption and influence peddling, suspected of having been paid by Renault-Nissan to lobby on behalf of the automaker at the European Parliament between 2009 and 2013, which her mandate as a member of the European Parliament prohibited, RFI reported.
Dati has denied the accusations entirely, RFI reported, and defended her integrity by pointing to her low attendance record in the European Parliament chamber.
