Punjab Food Authority to step up food safety enforcement, aid compliant businesses
Official says agency is strengthening field monitoring to curb adulteration, APP reports.
According to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), Director Foods North at the Punjab Food Authority (PFA), Chaudhry Ijaz Ahmed, said ensuring safe and quality food for consumers, curbing adulteration and improving compliance with food safety standards are among the authority's key priorities.
Ahmed told APP that the PFA is further strengthening field monitoring and inspection mechanisms to support these goals.
