The op-ed's authors, historian of science Jean-Baptiste Fressoz and social sciences doctoral researcher Lou Stührenberg, contend that abandoning the goal of returning global warming below the 1.5C threshold does not mean giving up on climate action, but rather finally confronting the real questions, according to Le Monde.
