Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has rejected fears that artificial intelligence could lead to catastrophic or "end of the world" scenarios, according to a report by Anadolu Agency.

Huang said there was "0% chance" of AI causing the end of the world, pushing back against doomsday narratives that he said have been circulating widely in the United States.

According to the report, Huang argued that such fears "make no sense" and suggested that some of the claims stirring alarm may be driven by "ulterior reasons," without elaborating further on what those motives might be.

Despite dismissing apocalyptic predictions, Huang stressed the importance of developing AI products safely, indicating that responsible development remains a priority even as he downplayed existential risk narratives.

The comments add to an ongoing global debate among technology leaders, researchers and policymakers over the risks and benefits of rapidly advancing AI systems, a debate that has included warnings from some industry figures about potential long-term dangers posed by the technology.
