Meta has launched a fresh legal challenge against Ofcom, Britain's media regulator, according to The Guardian.

The action is the latest in a series of court challenges by social media companies accused of using litigation to slow implementation of the UK's Online Safety Act, The Guardian reported.

Lawyers for Meta, the parent company of Facebook, served notice during the past week of an appeal against a decision placing WhatsApp and Instagram, also owned by Meta, in a regulatory category subject to additional duties, according to the report.
