Detroit Red Wings center Dylan Larkin is expected to make his season debut Tuesday night against the Ottawa Senators, despite having requested a trade during the off-season.
Larkin, 30, sought a move away from Detroit earlier in the year, but no trade materialized before the start of the new season, and he remains on the Red Wings' roster.
His return to the lineup comes as the team begins its season, with Larkin set to take the ice for Detroit despite the unresolved trade request from the off-season.
Neither Larkin nor the Red Wings organization has publicly detailed the current status of trade discussions following the off-season request.
