Kyiv authorities are facing calls to speed up the installation of additional mobile bomb shelters across the Ukrainian capital as Russian attacks on the city have intensified in recent weeks.

City official Petro Koretskyi said the pace of shelter installation needs to increase to keep up with residents' safety needs, pointing to the growing frequency and scale of aerial attacks targeting Kyiv. Officials have repeatedly stressed that expanding shelter capacity is critical as strikes have grown more frequent, targeting both military and civilian infrastructure.

The call for faster installation comes amid a broader pattern of intensified Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities in recent weeks, which Ukrainian officials say have placed additional strain on air-defense systems and civil-protection resources. Kyiv's city administration has not detailed a specific timeline for expanding the mobile shelter network in response to the latest appeal.
