Police are investigating a large fire at a Folkestone hotel that prompted the evacuation of about 280 people early Saturday with no injuries reported.
Emergency services were called just after 1am Saturday to the Grand Burstin hotel in Folkestone after a large fire broke out, believed to have started in the basement, according to Kent fire and rescue service. About 280 people were safely evacuated from the seaside hotel.
Police are treating the fire as suspicious and have opened an investigation into its cause.
