Police in Islamabad have arrested a fugitive wanted in more than nine cases of alleged financial embezzlement and fraud registered at various police stations across the federal capital, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported.

The arrest was made by a team from the Aabpara Police Station under the Islamabad Capital Territory Police. An official identified the detained individual as Usama Qadeer, who had been declared a proclaimed offender for evading multiple outstanding cases, according to APP.
