Human remains have been discovered near Arizona's Crystal Rapids, over two weeks after a flash flood tore through the Grand Canyon, killing two people and leaving one person missing. National Park Service personnel recovered the remains and transferred them to the Coconino County medical examiner's office, the agency confirmed.
Hiker Timothy Smith, 53, has been missing since the late-August floods. Officials have declined to identify the remains at this time, pending further examination.
