Faced with rising prices at the pump, the government has announced new targeted aid. For François Kalfon, MEP and member of the Socialist Party, "the balance is not there": he believes that automatic aid is needed for the most modest households.
The MEP proposes that "all oil superprofits be taxed in Europe".
Asked about the Russian threat, François Kalfon notes a significant increase in hybrid attacks and says that in the European Parliament, "some political parties such as the AfD are under Russian domination".
His comments are part of the wider debate over the EU's response to energy prices and alleged foreign interference.
