Elisa de Martel, who served as chief financial officer at Waymo, has joined self-driving startup Wayve, according to a report published by TechCrunch on September 16, 2026.
De Martel left her position at Waymo, the autonomous vehicle company owned by Alphabet, in January, the report said. She will be based out of Silicon Valley in her new role at Wayve.
The report did not specify de Martel's exact title at Wayve or provide additional details about her responsibilities at the company. TechCrunch did not disclose further information about the circumstances of her departure from Waymo or the timing of her move to Wayve.
