Fantasy Basketball Analysts Flag Sleepers, Breakouts and Busts for 2026-27

Ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season, fantasy basketball analysts have released their picks for players expected to outperform their draft position, break out into larger roles, or fall short of expectations.

Sleeper picks generally refer to players being drafted later than analysts believe their production warrants, offering value to managers willing to bet on an increased role or improved efficiency. Breakout candidates, by contrast, are often younger players entering a season with expanded opportunity, whether due to roster changes, coaching shifts or natural development.

On the other side, the analysts also identified potential busts: players whose current draft stock may not be supported by their expected role, health outlook or team context heading into the season. Flagging these risks is intended to help fantasy managers avoid reaching for name-brand players whose situations have changed.

The projections reflect preseason expectations and remain subject to change as training camps, injuries and roster decisions unfold before opening night.
