Entain, Owner of Ladbrokes and Coral, Prepares to Cut 400 Jobs
The gambling group has begun consulting on reducing about one in five customer care roles, weeks after reporting stronger than expected first-half profit.

Entain, the FTSE 100 gambling company that owns Ladbrokes, Coral and BetMGM, has said it is preparing to cut 400 jobs, according to the company.
The reductions would affect customer care roles, with the firm starting a consultation process that could remove around one in five of its approximately 2,000 customer care positions, Entain said.
The announcement comes only weeks after Entain reported better than expected profit for the first half of the year, the company said.
Entain has not detailed the specific reasons behind the planned job cuts or which locations or teams within its customer care division would be most affected. The company said the consultation process is now under way.
Entain operates a range of well-known gambling brands in addition to Ladbrokes and Coral, including its BetMGM joint venture, and is listed on the London Stock Exchange's FTSE 100 index.
