EBRD cuts 2026 growth forecast for Russia's economy to 0.5%
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has lowered its 2026 growth forecast for Russia by 0.3 percentage points from its previous estimate in June, TASS reports.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has downgraded its outlook for Russia's economic growth in 2026 to 0.5%, according to TASS.
The revised figure represents a cut of 0.3 percentage points from the bank's previous forecast, which was published in June, TASS reported.
The report did not specify the reasons the EBRD cited for the downward revision. International forecasts for Russia's economy have varied in recent years amid the effects of Western sanctions, shifts in global energy markets and changes in domestic fiscal and monetary policy.
The EBRD periodically updates its regional economic forecasts, and further revisions are possible as new data becomes available throughout the year.
