Two inmates and a guard face trial over the 2025 escape from Lyon-Corbas jail, as judges cite internal failings, Le Monde reports.
According to Le Monde, two inmates and a prison guard have been referred to a criminal court in connection with an escape from the Lyon-Corbas detention center in the summer of 2025, in which an inmate fled by hiding in a laundry bag.
In a ruling issued in late August, investigating judges concluded there were internal failings within the prison, according to Le Monde. The judges said they regretted being unable to identify all those who may have been complicit.
