Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com and Tumblr, has named an interim chief financial officer following the departure of executives from the company, according to a report by TechCrunch.

Jeremy Klaperman, who currently serves as CFO of the company's WordPress VIP Enterprise business unit, will act as CFO on an interim basis, TechCrunch reported.

The report did not specify the names of the executives who departed or the reasons for their exit. TechCrunch's report also did not indicate how long Klaperman is expected to serve in the interim role or whether Automattic is conducting a search for a permanent replacement.

Automattic operates several well-known web platforms, including WordPress.com and Tumblr, and has grown through a series of acquisitions over the years. The company has not issued additional public comment on the leadership change beyond what was reported by TechCrunch.

Further details about the circumstances surrounding the executive departures were not immediately available.
