Israeli actor and amateur pilot Guy Kapulnik died last week in a light aircraft crash in the state of California, USA. This was reported to The Times of Israel by the artist's family, as cited by Kommersant.
Details of the crash — including the exact location and circumstances of the incident — were not provided in the report. It was also not specified whether Kapulnik was piloting the aircraft himself at the time of the accident.
Reaction to the Tragedy
News of the artist's death came as a shock to his fans and colleagues in Israel's entertainment industry. Kapulnik was known as an actor and also had a passion for aviation, which, according to his family, was the reason for his presence aboard the light aircraft.
Aviation incidents involving light aircraft in the US regularly become the subject of investigations by relevant authorities, such as the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), which determines the technical and human factors behind accidents.
At the time of publication, no official comments had been received from American aviation authorities regarding this incident.
