The WordPress parent company has a new board following days of upheaval and a failed effort to remove CEO Matt Mullenweg, according to TechCrunch.
Mark Davies and Andy Missan approved each other's severance agreements while Matt Mullenweg was temporarily away from the company, according to a TechCrunch report.
The WordPress and Tumblr parent company said Matt Mullenweg is back as chairman and CEO with the full support of its board, following what TechCrunch reported was an attempted ouster.
Mullenweg said the move was against his will, in a company Slack message, according to TechCrunch.
Mullenweg said in an internal message that CFO Mark Davies worked with board members to sideline him, according to The Verge, citing 404 Media.
