A police alert has reportedly developed into concerns over a potential Iranian plot against a British military base used by United States forces.

Defence Secretary Wes Streeting indicated UK security services knew in advance about a group of men later arrested over a suspected bomb plot near RAF Fairford, though he said the farmer who alerted police had only 'a partial picture,' The Guardian reported.
