Zelensky at the UN: "This senseless war against Ukraine must end"

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Wednesday to call for an end to the conflict between his country and Russia.
"This ridiculous and senseless war against Ukraine must stop," the Ukrainian president told representatives of member states gathered at the UN.
Volodymyr Zelensky insisted that Ukraine had not chosen this war, recalling that the conflict had been triggered by the Russian invasion of Ukrainian territory.
His intervention is part of a series of speeches delivered this week by world leaders to the General Assembly, where the war in Ukraine continues to be among the central topics of international discussions.
The Ukrainian president's speech comes as diplomatic efforts to end the conflict continue, with no peace agreement yet reached between Kyiv and Moscow.
