Yury Chernichuk, chief of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, called on the world not to treat attacks on nuclear facilities as a normal part of conflict, according to TASS. He stated that plant staff and residents of the nearby city of Energodar face Ukrainian attacks on a daily basis.
The plant, located in southeastern Ukraine, has been a focal point of concern for nuclear safety since Russian forces took control of the facility in early 2022.
