Witness in Alan Jones Trial Testifies to Close Relationship With Broadcaster
A friend of Alan Jones acknowledged sending messages expressing loyalty and affection to the radio host during cross-examination in his sexual assault trial.
A friend of Alan Jones, who has denied witnessing an alleged assault at a Mosman restaurant, agreed in court that he sent the broadcaster a text message stating "if you need me to refute any lies, I of course will." Under cross-examination by prosecutor Georgina Wright, the witness acknowledged being a loyal and "very good friend" to Jones and characterized the two men as sharing an "unbreakable bond."
Jones, a former 2GB and 2UE radio host, has denied 22 indecent assault and sexual touching charges. The witness also confirmed sending Jones a text saying the "love of my life has always been you," according to court testimonyX.
