Volunteer gardening teams have been transforming train stations across Britain, with five teams shortlisted for the Royal Horticultural Society's new Railway Stations in Bloom award, according to the Guardian.
Since 1964, towns across the UK have bloomed with hanging baskets and colourful flowerbeds planted by residents as part of the Britain in Bloom competition, an annual event that draws around 1,600 participating communities, the Guardian reported.
