Sailing: first participation in the Route du Rhum for Léonard Legrand
The skipper, at the helm of the boat Sodebo Fifty, will set sail on 1 November from Saint-Malo for the solo crossing to Guadeloupe.
The start of the Route du Rhum, the famous solo transatlantic race, will take place on 1 November from Saint-Malo, bound for Guadeloupe.
Among the participants will be Léonard Legrand, at the helm of the boat Sodebo Fifty, which will take part in the race for the first time.
Léonard Legrand joined Sodebo in 2015 as a work-study student in electronics and rose through the ranks within the team to join the sailing team alongside Thomas Coville.
Alone in control
Now alone at the helm of his own boat, he is embarking on this first Route du Rhum with ambition, after several years spent working for the Sodebo team.
