The United States has refused to issue visas for members of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian's delegation, including his communications team, ahead of this week's UN General Assembly trip, according to Iranian state media cited by The Guardian.
Pezeshkian would be the highest-ranking Iranian official to enter the United States since the Middle East war began with US-Israeli strikes on Iran in February, The Guardian reported.
Separately, The Guardian's live coverage noted that CNN, MS NOW and Politico plan to sue over a White House ban after President Trump said he would bar them from the grounds, with a filing possible this week.
