Pakistan's Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with United States Ambassador Natalie Baker in Islamabad on Wednesday, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP). The meeting focused on ways to strengthen Pakistan-US relations, expand investment cooperation, and address regional security concerns.

During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on avenues for promoting bilateral ties and explored opportunities for increasing investment between the two countries. The talks also touched on efforts aimed at supporting regional peace and stability, APP reported.

The meeting comes amid continued diplomatic engagement between Islamabad and Washington on a range of issues spanning security cooperation, trade, and economic partnership. Interior ministry meetings with foreign envoys are a routine channel through which Pakistan discusses security-related cooperation alongside broader bilateral matters.

Neither official's office released additional details on specific investment sectors discussed or any agreements reached during the meeting. APP did not report a joint statement following the talks.

The meeting adds to a series of recent high-level contacts between Pakistani and American officials as both governments continue to navigate a relationship that has included cooperation on counterterrorism, trade discussions, and periodic differences over regional policy.
