Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Anton Kovalsky as interim prosecutor general, replacing Ruslan Kravchenko, according to reports released Wednesday.
Kravchenko's departure was approved Tuesday by the Ukrainian Parliament, following an investigation conducted by Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office. The investigation targeted one of the former prosecutor general's subordinates in a corruption matter.
Elsewhere, amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, India has indicated it will continue to purchase oil from diversified suppliers despite new American sanctions targeting Russia.
