Ukraine's Foreign Ministry said teams are working to arrange a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly's high-level week later this month, according to Anadolu Agency.
A Foreign Ministry spokesman said Zelenskyy is expected to hold various bilateral meetings during the high-level segment of the General Assembly, according to the report.
The spokesman did not provide further details on the timing or agenda of a potential meeting between the two leaders, Anadolu Agency reported.
The UN General Assembly's high-level week typically brings together heads of state and government for a series of speeches and diplomatic engagements, and has in the past served as a venue for bilateral talks between world leaders on the margins of the formal proceedings.
