Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said his country is prepared to take part in trilateral talks with the United States and Russia at the level of national leaders, signalling Kyiv's continued openness to a diplomatic path in the war launched by Russia's invasion.
Sybiha said the offer stands despite the absence of any comparable signal from Moscow. According to his remarks, Russia has not indicated it is ready for a leaders'-level dialogue involving both Washington and Kyiv, leaving the prospect of such a meeting unresolved for now.
The statement comes amid ongoing international efforts, led in large part by the United States, to find a negotiated route to ending the conflict. Ukrainian officials have repeatedly said they want any settlement discussions to include direct involvement from Kyiv rather than being negotiated solely between Washington and Moscow.
Sybiha's comments position Ukraine as willing to engage at the highest diplomatic level should the format materialise, while underscoring that the timing and shape of any such talks currently depend on Russia's own posture.
