UKMTO Reports Attempted Interception of Tanker Off Yemen

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) agency reported that a tanker was pursued by a skiff off the coast of Yemen, according to Anadolu Agency.
The incident occurred approximately 75 nautical miles east of Aden, with the skiff pursuing a westbound tanker, UKMTO said.
UKMTO, which monitors maritime security in the region, did not immediately provide further details on the identity of the tanker, its flag, or the outcome of the pursuit.
The agency regularly issues advisories to commercial vessels transiting waters near Yemen, an area that has seen a series of reported maritime security incidents in recent periods.
