Several British cities have banned the wearing of masks at demonstrations, following gatherings of groups described as "men in black" who marched with their faces concealed to oppose the arrival of migrants via small boats, according to Le Monde.
Those earlier rallies led to clashes with law enforcement, Le Monde reported. The new bans also cover cagoules and burqas.
