UEFA has selected Munich, Germany, to host the 2028 UEFA Champions League final and Barcelona, Spain, to stage the 2029 final, according to a report by Anadolu Agency.
The announcement was part of a broader set of venue decisions made by UEFA, European football's governing body, which also determined host cities for finals of the Women's Champions League, the Europa League, the Conference League, the UEFA Super Cup and futsal competitions, Anadolu Agency reported.
The Champions League final is one of the most-watched annual sporting events in the world, regularly drawing global television audiences in the hundreds of millions and generating significant economic activity for host cities.
Munich and Barcelona have both previously hosted major European football finals. Further details on the specific venues within each city, as well as host cities and venues for the other competitions named by UEFA, were not immediately available.
