Officials say the pair were pulled from the Trishuli 3A hydropower tunnel at a depth of 170 metres.
The workers were rescued from the Trishuli 3A hydropower tunnel during an operation at the site, according to army spokesperson Brig Gen Raja Ram Basnet. The tunnel, located in one of the areas worst affected by last week's floods, had been buried in deep mud.
The rescue operation marks a recovery effort in the aftermath of deadly flash floods that affected multiple hydropower projects in the region.
