US President Donald Trump on Wednesday threatened to cut trade with the European Union after the bloc proposed making Canada its first-ever associate member, according to France 24.
"I think it's laughable," Trump told reporters when asked about the plan, France 24 reported.
Trump warned that if the European Union moved forward with the proposal, he would consider it "at all a hostile act." He said he would "put very serious tariffs or stop trading with Europe, on many things," according to the report.
